Training for Life Campus
Scope of work includes construction of a new Training for Life Campus for Special Olympics Missouri. As part of the new campus a 33,798 sf 1 story multi-use building will be constructed. This is a Load bearing Masonry structure, with structural steel and structural concrete roof components, TPO and standing seam roof systems, light gage metal framed interior walls and ceilings, sport flooring, painting, athletic equipment, bleachers, and interior finish items for a facility of this nature. Additional scope items include a new outdoor track, soccer fields and walking path. Site grading for a new parking lot, new sidewalks, and landscaping is also included.
There will be a Pre-bid Meeting scheduled on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The meeting will be held in the Carnegies Room at Capital Plaza Hotel 415 W McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
The purpose of this meeting is to address technical questions concerning the project from prospective bidders. All Contractors are encouraged to attend this meeting. There will be a visit to the actual construction site immediately after the pre-bid meeting for anyone wishing to see the site.

Special Olympics Missouri reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities therein to determine the lowest and best bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids.

The Owner of this project, Special Olympics Missouri is a sales tax exempt entity. Because of this, construction materials purchased for and used on this project are eligible for exemption from Missouri sales tax.
Special Olympics Missouri has two different types of tax credits available to save on your taxes for 2017. Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits are available for cash or donation of product and services for $500,00 of tax credits for $1M of donations or contributed services. Missouri Development Finance Board (MDFB) tax credits are available for cash donations in the amount up to $1.4M of tax credits for $2.8M of donations. Tax credits allow the donor to return more than 70% of your donation right back to you after taxes while your donation benefits the Campus. Specific examples are available upon request.
