S. M. WILSON SELECTED BY U. S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected S. M. Wilson & Co. and Brigadier Construction Services, a Joint Venture, as the contractor to build a new $6 million Dining Facility (DFAC) at Fort McCoy, Army Garrison, Wisconsin.

The new dining facility was fully programmed and designed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District to support the NCO (Non Commissioned Officers) Academy. Capable of serving up to 390 persons, this full service, 12,545 Square Foot facility, was programmed to promote proper nutrition to support our nation’s soldiers.  Additionally, the facility will include a vehicle unloading area with dock lift, receiving area, dry and cold storage areas, dishwashing area, administrative area, locker room, and mechanical and electrical rooms

S. M. Wilson and Brigadier Construction Services will provide general contracting services, with completion targeted for fall of 2015.

The NCO Academy falls under the command of the Army Reserve Readiness Training Center at Ft. Knox, KY.  This training provides junior-enlisted Soldiers and NCO’s with the necessary training to develop leadership skills.  Training includes: Warrior Leader Course (WLC), Advanced Leader Course-Distance learning (ALC-d1), Battle Staff NCO Course, (BSNCOC), Small Group Instructor Course and Army Basic Instructor Course.
