Master Facilities Plan
As part of Phase I of their master facilities plan, the St. Louis County Library District will upgrade several libraries throughout the region.
Tesson Ferry will receive a new two-story, 40,000 SF building, located at a new site. The replacement branch will feature abundant natural light and plenty of comfortable seating. Additional amenities include an expanded children’s area with a program and crafts center, two meeting rooms, a computing area (including an instructional lab), study rooms, a teen space and quiet areas.
The Lewis and Clark branch will receive a new 20,000 SF, one-story building on their existing site. The facility will feature three different computing areas (including an instructional lab), an expanded children’s area with a program and crafts center, a space for teens, a business center featuring fax and copy machines, multiple study rooms and a meeting room.
Branches slated for facilities upgrades during Phase I of the capital improvement project include Indian Trails, Jamestown Bluffs and Rock Road.
