Logan University

Dr. William D. Purser, D.C. Center

The 47,000 SF Purser Center’s focal point is the 1,500 seat main hall, which can be subdivided to create several smaller lecture rooms. An expansive lobby serves as the center’s reception area and student lounge and can be used for banquets. One of the other unique features of this building is the 20’ by 60’ hanger doors in the back of the auditorium. The hanger doors can be opened to a 900 seat outdoor amphitheater for outdoor events, allowing the performers using the exterior platform instant access to the building’s utilities.

The project also included the construction of a new courtyard with fountain, replacement of 95% of the campus’ roads, a new entry road, three new parking lots and a retention pond with two fountains. New decorative walkway and parking lot lighting was also added. Logan was named one of “America’s Most Beautiful College Campuses” by MSNBC in the Fall of 2007.
